Congregational Care

The Congregational Care Committee is committed to caring for our church members beyond Sunday morning. We do this through communication, hosting social events and overseeing special programs. Our committee cares for the congregation in many ways. We meet the second Sunday of every month at 12:15 pm at the church.

Communication

Prayer Requests and Concerns

Pictorial Wall: is made available in the Hallway (outside the Anchor Gym) and also online through ACS Access.

Outreach

Card Ministry: Members of Congregational Care volunteer to send uplifting spiritual cards (birthday, get well, sympathy, thank you...) to church members on a rotating schedule.

College Students: Students receive care packages, church newsletters and special recognitions for outstanding achievements.

Visitation: Committee members volunteer to visit homebound members on a rotating basis.

Military Serving Away from Home: All military men and women are honored in our recognition board. Care packages including clothes, food, cards and gifts are periodically mailed to those serving away from home.

New Members: All new members receive a packages (organized and delivered by Julie Garcia) that include information about congregational life. Social Gatherings

Sunday Coffee Fellowship: A great fellowship opportunity for members and visitors before services.  A simple breakfast (juice, coffee, pastries, eggs and fruits) is made available by volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact the church office.

Wonderful Wednesday Dinner:  From August through May, we have dinner at 5:30 pm and a variety of programs at 6:30 pm for all ages.  Four teams of "chefs" rotate to provide nutritional and delicious meals.  For details, click here.

Supper Club:   Members interested in Supper-club are randomly divided into 5-6 groups each year. These individual groups meet monthly for an informal, small-group gatherings (a perfect way to get to know other church member).  For details, click here.

Other MPC Gatherings: The congregation enjoys food, fun and fellowship at these quarterly gatherings: Chili Cookoff, Palm Sunday Luncheon, Summer Picnic, and Fall Festival.

Meals

Deliver Wednesday Meals:  Sally Hale and Kit Welch take meals to the homebound members.

Special Meals (Funeral): church office coordinates with all circles to provide a funeral meals.

Go-Go's

The Go-Go's is a group of people age 55 and older who travel monthly to a local attraction.  For detail, click here.
