Wonderful Wednesdays

Come share a church family meal (5:30-6:30 pm).  Adults and Children Bible Study Classes (6:30 pm - 7:30 pm).  Nursery is provided for children under the age of 4 years.

Church Family Meal

An emphasis on a varity of menu, table fellowship and creative programs.  Four team of "chefs" rotate to provide nutritious and delicious meals.  We hope you join us for a series of great meals.  Reservations are helpful so we know how much food to prepare but not required.  Please contact the church office or login to ACS for reservations.  

February 1st: Kit Welch & Team prepare Mexican Meatloaf, Chipotle Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Rolls, Salad and Cornbread Cake (Dessert).
February 8th: David and J.G. Humphries prepare Yokamay, Green Breans, Salad, Rolls and Dessert.

February 15th:
Rachael Knoll and Team prepare "Mary Hay Chicken", Vegetables, Salad, Rolls and Dessert.
February 22nd: Priti Griffin & Team prepare "Subway Your Way", Chips and Desserts (Cookies and Brownies)
February 29th:  McYouth Fundraiser.  Chuck Standard and McYouth prepare a Taco Dinner and Dessert.

If you are interested in volunteering as a chef, clean up or set up team, please contact Mary Phisker or church office.

Bible Learning Classes

Chancel Choir - Led by Jason Montague. Meets in the Choir room.

 Prayer Shawl Ministry - Led by Beth WilliamsPrayer shawls are blessed to be blessed and given to others in Christ's name. They will also be working on quilts for wounded soldiers. Meets on the Administration Wing.

 

A Study on Acts - Led by Rachael Knoll.  The cost of the book is $20.  Please sign up on the pew pad or contact the church office.

      A New Start - Each Wednesday in January we will be offering a different program to help            make new starts.  Each session will be held in the chapen from 6:45 - 7:30 pm.

                   January 18th:  Financial matters by Lewis Robinson
                   January 25th:  Final Arrangements by Greg Cannon 

Children's Ministry - Led by Jennie Smith.   Children ages 4 – 5th grade enjoy singing, games, play acting, prayer, mission projects and fellowship in a relaxed, interactive atmosphere. This group meets in classroom 301 near The Anchor Family Life Center from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. After songs and prayer request, we have Bible lessons and activities. Game night is the fourth Wednesday of the month where we play fun, interactive games that encourage teamwork and fellowship. These volunteers assist Julie Garcia each week on a rotating basis: Kimberly Bowler, Dave Griffin, Ginger Irby and Jessica Kilgallen.

McYouth (6th - 12th grade; 6:30-7:30pm) - Led by Destiny Williams and volunteer staff in the Youth room.  November Curriculum - Leap of Faith.  As Christians, God asks each of us to step out in faith in order to experience God's Presence fully. However, the breal often seems impossible.  Are leaps of faith important?  What kinds of jumps does God call us to make? And will we?
