Children's Chapel

Children from 4 years through 3rd grade are invited to participate in Children's Chapel during 11:00 Sunday worship after "Faith Sharing with Young Disciples." Children's Chapel is located in the MPC Chapel. Your children will be escorted to the chapel following the "Faith Sharing with Young Disciples," where parents can pick them up after worship. These volunteers assist Jennie Smith each week on a rotating schedule: Beth Healy, Jamie Ketner, Cindy Hawxhurst, and Angie Ross.

Children's Chapel is not meant to be a babysitting time, but a time of creative learning and worship for young children to prepare them for joining their families in "big" worship in 4th grade. During children's chapel we spend time singing, praying, playing, making crafts, and learning how to apply God's word to our lives. Children will learn about prayer, worship space, and creative ways of worshiping. Children's chapel loosely follow the Revised Common Lectionary, so that the children are learning about scripture that their families are hearing the same Sunday in worship. This connection can allow you and your child to have valuable conversations about what you and your child are learning about in God's Word!
